1. About Pohoncho
Pohoncho is the digital platform used by North Oakville Badminton Club (NOBC) to support player accounts, bookings, rankings, tournaments, match verification, Hall of Fame records, and AI-assisted badminton training features.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Pohoncho, we may process information such as your name, email address, profile photo, player identity, membership status, booking activity, match results, rankings, ratings, tournament participation, Hall of Fame achievements, and other information you provide through the platform.
3. AI Training videos
If you choose to use AI Training, you may upload or record a short badminton video for analysis. The video is processed for the purpose of generating coaching feedback. Pohoncho is designed to delete the original training video after analysis rather than retain it as a permanent player video library. The resulting coaching report may be retained so that the player and authorized administrators can review the training output.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate NOBC services, authenticate users, manage bookings, maintain player records, calculate and display rankings and ratings, verify match results, administer tournaments, provide Hall of Fame records, deliver AI Training feedback, prevent misuse, and improve the Pohoncho experience.
5. Payments
Where payment functionality is available, payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Pohoncho does not need to store full payment-card details when those details are handled directly by the payment provider.
6. Service providers
Pohoncho relies on technology service providers to operate the platform, including hosting, database, authentication, payment, and AI-processing services. Information may be processed by those providers only as necessary to deliver the relevant Pohoncho feature.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell player personal information. Information may be shared with service providers where required to operate Pohoncho, with authorized NOBC administrators, or where required by law.
8. Public and club-visible information
Certain badminton information may be visible to other NOBC members, including player names, profile photos, tiers, tournament records, Hall of Fame achievements, and other club-related information that is intended to support participation in NOBC activities.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate NOBC, maintain sporting and tournament records, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the integrity of the platform. Some historical sporting records, such as tournament and Hall of Fame records, may be retained as part of NOBC history.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect Pohoncho information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials.
11. Your choices
You may contact NOBC if you have questions about your personal information, believe information is inaccurate, or wish to request an appropriate correction or deletion where applicable.
12. Children
Pohoncho is intended for NOBC participation and is not designed as a general-purpose service directed at children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Pohoncho develops. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date.
